Correctional officers stopped a fight between two inmates at Pak Sha Wan Correctional Institution today (May 17).
At about 9am, two male inmates, aged 49 and 41, were found quarrelling and fighting in a dayroom. Correctional officers on duty immediately stopped and separated them.
Both inmates were taken to the centre hospital for examination and treatment. The 49-year-old inmate was subsequently sent to a public hospital for further observation.
The case was reported to the Police for investigation.
The 49-year-old inmate was convicted for offences of trafficking in dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs, while the 41-year-old inmate for publishing obscene article and possession of obscene article for the purpose of publication.
