The Leisure and Cultural Services Department's "Summer Fun Party 2013 - Adventure in Animal Kingdom" will be held on Saturday and Sunday (August 3 and 4) at Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Wan Chai. At this fun event there will be a variety of stage performances and parent-child interactive workshops on the theme of animals. Admission to all activities is free.
The programme line-up includes the "Grand Show in Animal Kingdom", "Fun Fair in the Woods", "Animal Handicrafts Paradise", "McDull Cinema" and "3D Forest Photo Corner", offering families and members of the public a weekend of adventure and entertainment.
The "Grand Show in Animal Kingdom" located at the 3/F Arena, includes children's adventure theatre "Beacon in the Dark", African drums and dance, African xylophone, magic shows and acrobat, clown and martial arts performances.
"Fun Fair in the Woods" at the B/F Multi-Purpose Hall will offer parent-child puppet theatre, a muppet workshop, balloon twisting, archery games and a mega puzzle game "Quiz in the Forest".
"McDull Cinema" at the G/F Committee Room will present "My Life as McDull" and "McDull Kung Fu Ding Ding Dong" for animation lovers, while "Animal Handicrafts Paradise" at 1/F includes animal hat and drawing DIY workshops.
In addition to performances and games, there will also be the "3D Forest Photo Corner" at the 2/F Lobby. Here, participants can capture the moment by taking photos in the lovely forest set-up, along with their own unique animal face-paintings.
"Summer Fun Party 2013 - Adventure in Animal Kingdom" is a programme in support of the International Arts Carnival (IAC). The IAC is also one of the events under the "Vibrant Hong Kong" theme of the "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign.
