The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, today (January 19) extended his congratulations to cyclist Lee Wai-sze on winning a gold medal at Women's Sprint event of Track Cycling World Cup in Mexico.
Lee Wai-sze finished at the first place after three rounds of competitions. She scored a total of 27 points and became the first cyclist from Hong Kong who won the overall World Cup title in Cycling Sprint race.
Mr Tsang praised Lee Wai-sze for demonstrating sportsmanship through striving for excellence persistently, bringing honour to Hong Kong again after winning a bronze medal at the London Olympics.
