The Government declared by notice in the Gazette today (February 21) the existence of a vacant elected seat in the Eastern District Council Nam Fung Constituency.
In accordance with section 26(c) of the District Councils Ordinance (Cap 547), the office of Leung Suk-ching, an elected member of the Eastern District Council Nam Fung Constituency, became vacant on February 13, 2014.
The Registration and Electoral Office will arrange a by-election.
