Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a child who was found abandoned in Cheung Sha Wan today (March 27).
At about 1.15 pm today, a passer-by found a boy aged about five wandering inside Lai Chi Kok Park near Phase 8, Mei Foo Sun Chuen. A report was then made to the Police.
Standing 1.12 metres tall, the boy is of medium build, weights 19.6 kilogrammes and has a crew cut and yellow complexion. He was wearing a long-sleeve blue jacket, a grey sweater, blue jeans, striped socks and a pair of black sandals when found. The boy carried a bottle of medicine but no identity document.
The boy was sent to Caritas Medical Centre for examinations and was initially found to be in good physical conditions.
Investigations by the District Investigation Team of Sham Shui Po are underway.
Police urged the relatives of the child or anyone who has information to offer to contact Cheung Sha Wan Police Station at 2746 3300.
